Keon Coleman, wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, was notably benched for the opening drive against the New England Patriots on Sunday, the result of what head coach Sean McDermott described as "coach's discipline" following a practice incident.
This marks the second time Coleman faced internal discipline, having missed the start of a game last season for being late to a meeting.
Despite his benching, Coleman returned to play, tallying four catches for 23 yards and a touchdown, though a costly fumble gave the Patriots strong field position.
McDermott and offensive coordinator Joe Brady both stressed the need for greater consistency and accountability from Coleman as the team looks to reinforce professionalism.
The Billsâ 23-20 loss to the Patriots snapped their 14-game home winning streak, with Josh Allen posting 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Attention now shifts to resolving internal issues and regaining momentum for upcoming games. Read More... |
